Most uses of SFC guidance documents do not require specific permission from us, provided acknowledgment of the source is made. This document indicates which use of our guidance documents require written permission from us.
The use of SFC normative (indicated with “specification” in title) documents is more controlled, particularly for Validation and Verification Bodies - VVBs. The rules for their use are described in the same document mentioned above.

Our latest publication on Shipper Policy Engagement to Accelerate Road Freight Electrification explains why shipper involvement in policy is essential and how it can drive real progress. It shows how supply side regulations (SSRs) can unlock vehicle supply, reduce total cost of ownership, and help shape charging and grid readiness. It also highlights the critical role shippers play in providing operational insights, clear demand signals, and the economic influence needed to make policies effective. Most importantly, the publication demonstrates why supply and market demand must move together to accelerate the transition to zero-emission freight at scale. It also outlines how GPN strategically engages logistics actors in policy discussions, maps priority regions, and proposes a sequenced, ecosystem-wide approach to accelerating zero-emission transport (ZET) adoption.

These MVP (Minimum Viable Product) decision support tools, contributed by Maersk and tailored to complement the EV Deployment Guidelines, deliver practical templates and frameworks based on their real-world fleet and vendor logic to help companies plan, implement, pilot, and scale electric trucking operations effectively.
Institutionalizing Freight Emissions Accounting in India
This whitepaper proposes a nationally harmonized approach to institutionalizing freight emissions accounting in India, aligned with ISO 14083:20233 and the Global Logistics Emissions Council (GLEC) Framework and adapted using India-specific emission factors. Drawing on the collaborative work undertaken by Smart Freight Centre (SFC) India, The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), and Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore, this paper outlines a practical roadmap to operationalize a Clean Freight Program for India, proposed to be anchored under Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) / Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) with multi-stakeholder governance and a digital Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) framework.

ER Listing Application form
To apply to the SFC CAS, Emissions Reporters (ERs) must complete an Application Form (ASU-TPL-010-2) and submit the signed application, along with all supporting evidence mentioned in the application form, to assurance@smartfreightcentre.org.
